People like Vicki are the main reason most sucky jobs suck so hard. When I sniff someone of that ilk, I run--but it's not usually possible to know ahead of time, or quit when you discover the Bully. I recently went on a job hunt at 57 on Indeed but got lucky and landed a part-time police dispatcher job in my community. I hope it suits me. I don't even care about the wage and there are no benefits, but at least it's a foot in the door.
