Thanks for an informative article. I hadn't heard the term "silver tsunami" but it makes a lot of sense.

A few random thoughts. Hair loss (in both men and women) is correlated with Hyperinsulinemia, which is also implicated in Alzheimers via metabolic syndrome ("type 3 diabetes). Also--tau reminds me of cholesterol: it has an important role in our bodies but then is caught "red handed" as the culprit in heart disease. But nowadays, we've proved cholesterol isn't the bad guy--it's inflammation.

So don't we have some pretty good ideas about what causes Alzheimers, i.e. chronic inflammation? We can correlated type 2 diabetes with Alzheimers, and we know lifestyle--including exercise--can help prevent it, right?
