Thanks for this clear explanation. You are spot on - the amount of BS I've heard because I don't have kids is just the tip of the iceberg. I've been told I "hate kids" based on ... well, nothing--except being childfree. JD Vance's comment said what a lot of people think, that's one reason he felt comfortable saying it "out loud."
