Thanks for your perspective and knowledge. It makes a lot of sense to me. I found this case difficult to write up because of what seemed to be a complexity of relationships. In the film (and crime) The River’s Edge a murder was committed by a teen, who showed his friends the body…eventually one (an acquaintance, really) went to the cops, while at the same time another went to his parents. It’s hard to hold on to that kind of information, witnessing a murder, and not tell someone, especially when you are a teenager. And then, after all these years — anyone who saw anything would be more likely to say something, to someone.
