Thanks for your response, very helpful. I can’t do beets, too high in sugar. And I must respectfully disagree that “6 hours is fine” if you are older. Research is showing that 7–8 hours is ideal for most people regardless of age, and that less sleep for older people is usually a result of pain or another health issue. All that aside, I don’t feel rested with 6 hours of sleep. Poor sleep while aging is a major problem for future health issues — also I am not elderly. I’ve been sleeping poorly since age 50.
