Thanks very much for the compliment and I agree, carbohydrates are the villain. I think this is one more reason why snack foods are so dangerous. I too have struggled with weight since childhood and until recently could never get to a natural weight no matter what diet I tried. The AIP diet, which excludes grains, sugar and white flour, has made a big difference--I've finally reduced to 120 at 5'4" which is the same as I weighed at age 11. I went on AIP for an autoimmune disease. However, I also learned breathing normalization (the Buteyko Method) at the same time and since it improves metabolism and regulates apetite, I feel that may be another missing link for me.
