The issue I have isn’t due to low thyroid. That came later. The issue I’m trying to illustrate is that some of us s put on weight more readily than others. Thin people are often healthier and have better metabolisms. That isn’t 1%. It’s not about extreme thyroid conditions, but susceptibility to obesity due to ill-health. If you read my comment, you will see that what I’ve accomplished is REAL LIFESTYLE CHANGE. My point is that without tremendous resources (education, social support, innate intelligence, money etc.) it’s very difficult for people to make real lifestyle change. The fact is that our society actively undermines health (food deserts, poor healthcare system, hyper-advertised hyper palatable foods, and endless blame). Without health it is difficult to overcome weight issues, obesity, poverty etc.
