The number of commenters defending this obscene display of wealth and tone-deafness is incredible. I guess these are the temporarily embarrassed millionaires who don't want anyone telling them what to do, ever. Not in school, not on the road, not by the IRS, not by Nature. The point of the article is these people, who have become billionaires, don't pay their fair share of taxes because they have lawmakers in their pockets, or officiating their weddings.
It's sad that so many believe that when they, too, become billionaires they'll finally be "free" of having to answer to anyone. Newsflash, answering to others is called Life. We are interdependent. Taxes build roads, bridges, schools, and--in a better health care system--hospitals.
