The primary issue, I believe, is the skewed data. I’ve read research that posits the gender ratio as 1:1. As brain scans for male & female autistics show real divergence, we are talking about a condition of female autism that is barely recognized much less understood. I do not have a primary pathology - but I have a profoundly altered view of myself from being told I was wrong in so many levels, for so long, by so many people. It’s been an invisible disability.
