This article reminds me of St. Augustine's famous quote about sin. "God, give me chastity and continence...but not yet."

Few willingly give up driving, even if the consequences are dangerous or even fatal. But when is the cutoff? In my 'hood, a brilliant person started a non-profit ride service. It costs $4 for any trip, even into town (a half hour away) and the drivers are volunteers. I live in a huge gated community full of Silent Generation folks. I've been meaning to volunteer. I do think those kinds of resources (like Lyft) encourage people to make the shift.
