This is a whole 'nother level of idiocy. A shrinking population is terrible, but the current trend--a growing one--is ghastly. So those are our choices. We don't need more brainpower, we need to consume fewer resources. The earth isn't an endless forest of money trees. Resources are, in fact, finite. But since we humans believe there is something special about us, we'll keep reproducing.
