Very important topic and well presented. My appt two days ago went like this when my doc mentioned my overall cholesterol was high and I said, my HDL is 92 and my triglyceries are 88, a 1:1 ratio that is predictive of a healthy heart. Then, she said your LDL is too high and I mentioned the fluffy vs. dense particles, and that went nowhwere. I suggested I get more tests to show the LDL is the fluffy kind and she ended with, "Well, it's your body." Sigh.
