We are fortunate, yet America is still a very expensive place for the basics: housing, healthcare, and transportation. Fortunately, our food prices are still decent. I have a paid-off house and two paid-off cars but in my 50s, the American healthcare bill is unavoidable. I'm extremely grateful my Toyota Corolla seems like it will run forever!
