We support public education, the cornerstone of civil society, when we support teachers. You have missed the point the writer is trying to make: when a system pushes people to a breaking point it no longer works. Teachers have very high failure and burnout rates not because they are bad people (or whiny) but because it isn't teneable. Every year, a batch of fresh-faced recruits signs up and half are gone in three years. We don't have good, or functional schools, when we lack experienced teachers because a 3-year tour of duty is all most can stand. Dismissing this as click bait is a hostile reponse to a thoughtful piece.
