When I taught 9th graders I noticed many of the boys were developing an attitude about girls and women. I would almost call it a hatred, but definitely a total loss of respect. Boys who don't have dads seem to really suffer in their teens. They would put each other down by calling other boys "girls" or worse, "pussies." I'm sure it started much younger, but it was pretty disheartening to watch them reject the feminine. Sounds like your boys came around with home-schooling?
