While I think that it's certainly true the government's resources to deal with autism aren't there, I've worked for the gov't and it isn't that coordinated. The system as it is will do a great job of not helping AFAB women and BIPOC individuals by bogging down disability claims for years. I used to be a disability examiner and the system is overwhelmed. I'm not a big believer in gov't conspiracy theories, although I do think cover-ups happen. Sexism, racism, and ableism are reason enough. It's a conspiracy of normal people disliking not normal people. It's a conspiracy of ignorant media and psych docs who lack insight. It's a conspiracy of ignorance.
