Women have always worked, and worked hard. The idea that one marriage partner should get paid for working and the other shouldn't is the root of the whole problem. Now we are stuck paying for childcare with both parents working. I look back on my parents lifestyle in the 1960s and 1970s and it was a paradise compared to today - they shared the work. My mom managed the finances and home and did most of the childcare and my dad earned the paycheck. Nothing wrong with that, assuming the male in question is willing to admit he's doing half the work, not all of it!
