Yep. I was born in '65 and entered the workforce in the late 1980s after college. I have my own set of issues getting ahead (autism/ADHD) but generally I kept having to get more education to keep my head above water. I paid for two masters degrees, and I'm only managing now because I married a Boomer (who still works at 70) and I have a small pension. I just couldn't make any money, especially in the fields I chose (education, academia, government) and frankly money wasn't my goal. But if I'd made 60K instead of 40K most of my working life, it would've a huge difference to my savings, pension, and social security. Salaries have a big effect over time.
