Yes, that's a good point. My opinion changed when I moved somewhere rural, and there weren't any other options (besides thrift stores and ordering from Amazon). The issue of consumerism gets to the heart of our problem as a species: there are too many of us, buying too many things. It's inherent to want to leave home, get something, and bring it back. I'd be happier with Walmart if they took even more of a leadership role (like Costco) in upping wages and benefits for employees.
