You description in the first few paragraphs exactly parallels what it's like to be naturally thin vs. struggling with your weight. When you're thin you can eat desserts, overeat every now and then without consequences, never have to count calories, and don't need to feel post-meal regret. You can snack with impunity....while the non-thin (most of us, these days) are constantly aware of food pitfalls. It's a mental burdern and an energy drain similar to being poor. The mental/emotional strain of poverty and obesity are hard to explain to the un-woke. Nice job!
